The light takes three AAA batteries, which is fine, but getting to the battery compartment requires a very small screwdriver to release the tiny screw holding the battery compartment lid. That said, the light is just what I needed.

This is the second PIR light i have bought, Reliability wise the first light is is still working fine, illuminating when someone walks by.. However the second light I purchased was faulty and had to be returned and M/F provided a replacement.Too early to say if these lights will be reliable over the long term.
